ROTARY DISTRICT 6540 OFFERS 2026 SUMMER STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIPS
The Northern Indiana Rotary District 6540 of Rotary International is accepting applications for ONE $6,000 summer study abroad scholarship. Successful applicants must be residents of District 6540 (northern Indiana) and/or attend a college in District 6540 and be sponsored by a local Rotary club in District 6540.
The scholarships, designed to further international understanding and goodwill, allow students to study abroad in more than 60 countries where Rotary clubs are located.
Eligible students must have completed at least two years of U.S. University/College study by Summer 2026.
During their studies abroad, Rotary District 6540 Scholars serve as “ambassadors of goodwill.” Through appearances before Rotary clubs and districts, schools, civic organizations, and other forums, the Scholars represent their homelands and work to further international understanding.
Each Summer Study Abroad Scholarship is for one summer abroad, up to a maximum of $6,000 each, for travel, tuition and fees, room, board, etc. The funds will be paid directly to the U.S. educational institution offering the study or program.

Note: INELIGIBLE: (a) a Rotarian or Honorary Rotarian; (b) an employee of a Rotary Club or district, of Rotary International, or of another Rotary -affiliated entity; (c) a spouse, a lineal descendant (child or grandchild by blood or adopted or not adopted), a spouse of a lineal descendant, or an ancestor (parent or grandparent by blood) of any living person in categories (a) or (b); and that Rotarians and their relatives as described above remain ineligible for 36 months after resignation.
